„Eric” is coming out next year.
Benedict Cumberbatch is going to star a Netflix series which will be shot partly in Budapest, partly in New York.
According to Variety.com, he plays the role of Vincent Sullivan, a puppeteer of a popular American children’s show, whose son, Edgar, disappears. Eric is one of his puppets that helps the troubled showman find his son.
The six-episode series is set in 1980’s and deals with police corruption and the dark side of New York as well.
Netflix is teaming up with Abi Morgan, whose credits include “The Hour”, “Shame”, “The Iron Lady” “The Invisible Woman”, “Suffragette” and many more.
The series will be available at the beginning of 2024 on Netflix.
