The ‘convenience fee’ has been abolished.
From 1 September, customers will not have to pay a ‘convenience fee’ when they purchase motorway vignettes in Hungary.
You did not have to pay this extra charge at petrol stations, but private companies often added hundreds (or thousands) of forints to the original price online.
But not anymore.
Service providers receive a commission on purchases, so the prices will be the same online and offline from 1 September.
