China extends visa-free travel for Hungarians

In response, Hungary is also extending by one year the visa facilitation decree.

China has extended its visa-free policy for Hungarian citizens by one year, whether for study, tourism or any kind of relationship-building, Peter Szijjarto, the foreign minister, said today.

In response, Hungary is also extending by one year the visa facilitation decree, which was first put in effect when Beijing first announced the possibility of visa-free travel for Hungarians, the minister said.

“Thus, we continue to issue visas within 48 hours to Chinese company executives and businessmen, who arrive to Hungary for the purpose of developing economic and trade cooperation”, Szijjarto said.

“So it is good news that Hungary’s strategy is working. We are not interested in dividing the world into blocs, but in achieving global cooperation within the framework of connectivity that is based on mutual respect,” he concluded.
