The Liverpool star himself attended the unveiling ceremony.
“It is an honor to be featured on a public mural here in Fehérvár,” said the captain of the Hungarian national football team and Liverpool midfielder at the unveiling of the fire-wall mural in his hometown of Székesfehérvár, located 60 kilometers south of Budapest.
Approximately 2,000 people attended the event.

The artwork on the side of the apartment building, which captures one of the athlete’s goal celebrations, is located directly opposite the entrance to the elementary school he attended for eight years.

“For the past 23 years, I have spent every day working to become who I am today. This was my plan, my dream, and my goal, and it involved a great deal of sacrifice,” said Szoboszlai at the ceremony. He advised the children in attendance that they must put in all the hard work, and then perhaps everyone will have a chance to reach where he has reached.

During the ceremony, the footballer added his signature to the graffiti to officially unveil the mural, which stands 16 meters high, 13.5 meters wide, and features 33 different colors.
It is possible that the mural will become a kind of “pilgrimage site” for football fans to visit.
