Peter Will, Board Member for Powertrain Production at Audi Hungaria, reported that the manufacturing area spans 33,000 square meters and was realized with an investment of 350 million euros (130 billion HUF).
According to Audi Hungaria Zrt., the MEBeco motor will first be used in the Cupra Raval model. The goal is to ramp up production from one shift to up to three shifts. The project began in 2022, with the construction of production infrastructure following in 2024. The company received 22.5 million euros (7.886 billion HUF) in state subsidies for the investment.
Audi Hungaria Zrt., based in Győr, is a member of the Audi Group and the central engine supplier for the Audi and Volkswagen Groups. Last year, the company achieved a revenue of 9.222 billion euros (3,224.1 billion HUF), with an after-tax profit of 368 million euros (128.6 billion HUF). The company invested 375 million euros (131.1 billion HUF) into new technologies last year.
