Mercedes to bring A-class production to Hungary

That means Mercedes will soon manufacture three models in Hungary.

Mercedes will bring production of its A-class models to Hungary from this year, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said in a post on Facebook on Tuesday.

Szijjarto noted that Hungary was home to Mercedes’ biggest plant in Europe, and second globally only to the company’s capacity in China.

Today some more good news: Mercedes has decided to bring production of the A-class to Hungary from this year,” he said. “That means Mercedes will soon manufacture three models in Hungary, including the new high-tech fully-electric GLB, the new C-class and soon the A-class,” he added.

Over 2 million cars have rolled off the production line in Kecskemet (C Hungary), where Mercedes employs over 5,000 people.

The left-wing liberal media continues to try to ruin the good reputation of the Hungarian economy with fake news, but investors clearly see the real situation,” Szijjarto said.

Political stability, the best tax system in Europe and an outstanding vocational training system and labour force, that is the government’s recipe,” he added.
