The first tram rails in Budapest were built in 1887 between the West railway station and Király street.

It means that the system is 125 years old now, and the anniversary is going to be celebrated in various ways

The programs will start in September, take 3 months and include nostalgia train, guided tours, open days and a big vehicle procession.

At the moment I cannot see any details on the website of Budapest Transport Company (BKV) but perhaps they will tell more later on.
