It has not snowed this much in Hungary for 15 years.
Large parts of Hungary are currently covered by a snow layer of 15–25 centimeters, while in the Bakony Mountains and in southwestern regions the snow cover exceeds 30 centimeters in some places. In the coming days, extreme cold and further snowfall are expected.
Hungary has not experienced such heavy snowfall in 15 years.
Although the large amount of precipitation is causing serious disruptions to transportation across the country, the fairytale-like scenery makes many forget the difficulties.
