They stole fashion items worth more 56 million forints.
The 57- and 58-year-old suspects committed the burglary with a third, yet unidentified accomplice, in the early hours of April 15 last year, the Metropolitan Chief Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the indictment, the 57-year-old Montenegrin and 58-year-old Croatian men, together with an unknown accomplice, planned in detail to steal valuable fashion items from a store on Andrássy Avenue.
They obtained a previously stolen car, which the Croatian man and the third accomplice used to reversed into the shop window, breaking it.

The perpetrators rushed in with crates and stole 80 different items (bags, sunglasses, and belts) from the shelves . They swept up several items that were damaged and became unsellable.
The thieves took the loot to the underground garage of an apartment building, where, with the help of the Montenegrin man, they carried it up to one of the apartments. They hid the crates behind the Montenegrin man’s car.
Their third accomplice drove away in the car used for the theft and then fled, leaving the vehicle behind. In the morning, the two defendants called a taxi, into which they loaded the stolen goods, and the Croatian man took them to the apartment he was using.
Two of the perpetrators were identified and arrested later on the day of the burglary, while the third one had left in the stolen car and is at large.
The police recovered 76 of the 80 stolen items worth a total 56.5 million forints (EUR 147,000), the statement said, adding that the burglars caused a damage worth a further 10.5 million forints to the shop.
The prosecutor is seeking a prison sentence for the perpetrators as well as their expulsion from Hungary. The Montenegrin suspect is awaiting extradition due to proceedings for other crimes he committed in his home country, the statement said.
