The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Regional news portal Beol.hu was informed by a reader that a stabbing occurred on the last day of the Hungarian Ozora Festival, and a rescue helicopter arrived at the scene for the injured person.
The organizers confirmed the news to the outlet:
“The report is true, there was a stabbing at the festival. The motive is still unclear. Two people were involved in the incident: the perpetrator has been apprehended, and the injured person was taken to the hospital in Pécs by ambulance. According to my information, their condition is stable.”
News site Telex contacted the ambulance service, which confirmed that a man with life-threatening injuries was airlifted to hospital from the scene.
The police have not yet issued a statement.
There was also a minor incident at the beginning of the festival, when a fire broke out and several gas cylinders exploded.

On August 3, the police issued the following press release regarding the incident:
“On the afternoon of August 2, 2025, the police received a report that a man had been stabbed with a knife at the OZORA Festival in Igar-Vámszőlőhegy. The alleged perpetrator was detained by security personnel until the police arrived.
Based on data collected at the scene, a 26-year-old Israeli man was stabbed several times with a knife by a 28-year-old Israeli citizen following a verbal altercation and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The police apprehended the perpetrator, who was also injured, at the scene, then transported him to the hospital and took him into custody. Proceedings have been initiated against him for the crime of life-threatening bodily harm at the Fejér County Police Headquarters, and his interrogation is ongoing. Investigators are initiating a motion for his arrest.”
